National Jigsaw Day - Wentworth Puzzles
This Thursday is National Jigsaw Day. Wentworth started the
day up last year and are so are celebrating the 2nd Annual National
Jigsaw Day and sent me one of the fabulous jigsaw puzzles to do ahead of the
day.
Wentworth Jigsaw
Puzzles are puzzles like no other. With most puzzles, you start with the
corners and the edges and work your way in. Not so with Wentworth. Not only are
the pieces somewhat different to other pieces with special whimsy pieces each
unique to your puzzles but they have no edges…or corners!!!
Wentworth sent me the lovely WinterIn The City which as you can see if a gorgeous and vibrant painting and captures
any of the capitals famous landmarks and is the perfect jigsaw to while away
the early dark evenings.
I’ve always thought that Wentworth puzzles make fabulous presents. The pieces are of course made with wood and come in a lovely
drawstring bag. They really are a keepsake, especially with the unique pieces
they include.
I love the unique pieces in the puzzles as personally I think
there isn’t the slightest chance that I would have been able to complete this
puzzle without them. Aren’t they fabulous though? My husband having laughed at
my anguish had me breaking it up and handing it over to him to create and a
week later is still spending many hours bent over the puzzle sorting out the
relevant pieces! The kids can’t help themselves though and occasionally come
over to pop a piece in only to walk away a good half hour later! I love having
a jigsaw on the tables over winter for this very reason.
Wentworth have their puzzles in all different sizes and this
one comes in 6 different sizes – mine is middle of the range at £29.00 but for
a 40 piece its £7.25 and for the largest at 1500pc is £175. Personally, I think
you might have to be a chess champion to complete that one!
National Jigsaw day is this Thursday 3rd November!
Mark the date down now as Wentworth will be offering a fabulous 10% discount on
their puzzles for that day and if you’re a twitter fan come and join in their
