Brighton! #bloggerslodge

Very recently my friend and I visited Brighton for the weekend. We stayed at Brighton’s Travelodge just on the edge of town which made a perfect base to explore from. We were given a double room which looked out over across Brighton. The room was lovely and spacious and incredibly clean and comfy. Everything you needed including an ensuite.

I am always impressed with the quality of Travelodge’s bed. King-size with incredibly comfortable mattresses – especially their new dreamer bed which gives you the sleep you would expect in a five star hotel! The room has a kettle and tea and coffee facilities, desk and a small space to hang your clothes. It would be nice if they could offer a little fridge and while the bedroom had been updated the bathroom could have done with a little touch here and there. There is parking on site but you are quarter of a mile from Preston train station which takes you directly into Brighton.

Once we’d arrived and refreshed with a cup of coffee we headed straight out to Brighton to a gorgeous restaurant – Cogging’s and co which I can highly recommend you all to visit! Real melt in the mouth burgers I promise. We had a fabulous night although a trifle warm as there wasn’t air con but we had the windows open and weren’t disturbed by traffic noises. In the morning we opened up the fabulous boxes that Travelodge offer – muffin, juice, cereal etc and headed out. Of course what do you do when you’re in Brighton but hit the seaside and the lanes?

We had an absolutely fabulous time getting away from it and enjoying the gorgeous little shops you find down the lanes and drooling over the chocolate and cake in choccywoccydoodah! I love visiting all the boutique shops, from cafes to accessory shops to toy to bead shops its perfect to while away a whole day! The beach and pier are as always just stunning! It is pebbly but the kids don’t mind and you can grab a deck chair (if you can find a spare one) and lap some sunshine or have a rest with an ice cream!

A perfect weekend for a refreshing and rejuvenating break away with a ton of things to see and do regardless of your budget!

1, Royal Pavilion
2, North Laine
3, Brighton Pier
4, Stanmer Park & House (just slightly outside the town)
5, Go a bike tour!

We received 2 nights complimentary stay at Travelodge including breakfast in return for this review. All views and opinions are my own.
