Muddy Puddles Review

We were recently sent the Puddle Pac-a-mac (RRP £20) from Muddy Puddles. I’m fairly certain that this is what caused our heat wave! They both arrived on the same day! My eldest did try it on immediately but despite being breathable it just wasn’t the best of wear for 28 degrees+ Imagine his delight when this morning we woke up to a grey wet morning!

Muddy Puddles is an online company which offer a gorgeous range of waterproofs and outdoor clothing for your children. The colours are bright and cheerful and the patterns & quality are fabulous! Muddy Puddles was the brain child of a farmer whose children loved getting muddy, one day she popped the youngest on the table and drew round him and created a waterproof suit…Muddy Puddles was formed! They are huge believes in getting kids into the great outdoors and so are perfect for us to introduce to you!

The gorgeous lightweight bright jacket was snatched off the peg and off we went to build sandcastles and pick some fruit for breakfast. The Puddle Pac-a-Mac is fully waterproof and even stands up to being rolled about in on wet long grass.

It also folds up into its own pocket (no pesky bag to loose) and comes complete with a label for name & class (I think by far my favourite part of it) there is also attached a little carabiner clip so you can fasten it to school bags or on to rucksacks! A little touch I didn’t notice at first is that once you’ve popped your jacket back inside itself the pocket has a label stating name & class. We have already managed to lose a rain coat despite it being labelled so I love the extra touches they include to keep it safe!

As to the jacket itself. It’s a lot thinner than I originally thought but it seems very tough despite that. It’s incredibly light weight so much so my son didn’t realise he was carrying it on his bag. We all love the bright colours, we choose bright yellow with blue umbrellas and he stands out a mile off! Perfect for forest schools and roaming across the downs! We also really liked the zip. The zip actually goes all the way up to his chin and is perfect for stopping the rain trickling down his neck!
We’ve actually given this 10 out of 10 because we truly couldn’t find anything wrong with it. A lovely, practical, good quality and fun waterproof! Spot on Muddy Puddles!
