Bedroom designs
The bedroom is next on my list of things to tackle. Living
with three boys in my sanctuary! So its currently painted in a soft shade of
cream courtesy of Farrow & Ball. Hung at the windows are soft cherry pink
and cream curtains and that’s about where the design finishes. The bed linden
is from the previous house and is in shades of white or blue and the furniture
is a modge podge from around the house.
The bed of course is the main focal point of the room. It
is after all where I spend a third of my life, its seen birthdays, breakfast
and beds and numerous 3am blurry eyed wakings. It needs to be cosy, comfortable
and stylish and still able to come with a hectic lifestyle! Although of course
I might just have to limit the amount of lego which will no doubt find its way
in.
Being the lover of Pinterest I am I have scoured it for
designs, ideas and hope that might work with our family. Living in a bungalow
we have a huge large window which I would like a little privacy in but which is
surrounded around the outside by roses and which when the windows are open in
summer tumble into the room with colour and fragrance. I want to tie in the
light and breezy effect from the roses and sunshine which also pours in the
room but still it calm so I can collapse with a good book on to sumptuous bed
linen and relax without finding it distracting.
So I’ve researched and
googled and finally created a mood board I’ll use to fine tune my room. The
gorgeous bedlinen
is from House of Fraser, beautiful isn’t it? I adore the idea as well of a
bespoke print on the wall and no doubt that will keep me busy for many weekends
to come. As to furniture I think pale and neutral will work best.
What do you think? Have you a haven for your bedroom?
