Gorgeous baby clothes

What a beautiful weekend we’ve just had. The daffodils are showing and the gardens full of crocus and snowdrops and the suns actually warming! The first sunny warmth after winter always tends to get me in the spring cleaning mood and so I started to go through the boys clothes from last year sorting them out for the year ahead. Mine grow so quickly that I’m fairly certain that from the start of the summer to the end of it they’ve changed sizes at least twice.

The problem I have with my boys is that they are very rough on their clothes! Supermarket clothes last a month or so as they are probably designed too but occasionally it’s nice to have some gorgeous beautiful clothes which seem to be a rare thing for boys. Some of our favourites are of course from the ever gorgeous Petit Bateau. Just look at their new born clothes. It almost makes me want another! They have lasted both boys and the same items which have been used for both still look new. Their new born clothes, which hold so many memories that I can’t part with them, are slowly being cut up to be made in a blue and white quilt throw. I think some of their summer shirts might have to go the same way. Does anyone else struggle to throw away the clothes full of memories?

What do you do with the beautiful clothes from your children’s earlier years? Do you store them in the loft or do you pop them on ebay for someone else? Or do you, like me, save them up with hundreds of ideas about what to do with them? Stayed tuned and I might pop up my quilt and how to’s for you!
