Rain, Rain go away!

Wow the school run this morning was fun! My lovely waterproof which has done me so well over the past ten years appears no longer to be waterproof! While the wind was blowing the rain horizontally and also upwards I don’t think it’s the reason for the water seeping through everywhere. Not the best news with the water storm coming this way that everyone’s promising!

Why do they not make waterproofs like this for adults?

I am very tempted to replace it was the gorgeous Barbour jackets that are seem to dominate Sussex. They do somehow manage to make even the most relaxed jeans and wellies look designer! They also have lots of useful pockets to pop treats and training devices in! Always good with Daisy! I might have to order one quick before we head out over the Downs this weekend. The National Trust have loads of walks you can download and print off or keep on your phone and there’s a short circular route which starts and ends at a typical country pub which apparently has amazing food. Take a look on their site; they have them all over the UK. We are very lucky living where we do that we can just throw on our waterproofs and head out for an hour or two along the Downs or along the beach.

Either way I do need something to keep me dry for the school run. Not only for the rain but there’s a slippery muddy field which carrying a struggling child to school over leads me wide open for skidding on!
