Spare a thought for the planet this Christmas

This Christmas no doubt your attention will be focussed on the presents, children and of course the food but if you can spare a little thought for the environment. Simple things can help reduce the damage can be as little as turning off outdoor and of course indoor Christmas lights when you go to sleep. Christmas cards! Just double check each one. Do you really need to send one to your cousins three times removed you see once a decade? Can you hand deliver some of the local cards? Do deck your halls with boughs of holly but go for the real holly rather than a plastic imitation! And why not add a little fun in your house and buy a living Christmas tree?
