Have you checked out new company Lucy Love Vintage? With the new emerging scene for beautiful swing and tea dresses which flatter the figure, Lucy Loves is the perfect place to start. Mainly due to the lovely owner Marie Davis who puts care into every order (or at least I’ve found so!)

She stocks the best of LindyBop, Hannys Creative jewellery, Collectif and Pin Up Couture. Every time I revisit the site there’s something new and beautiful there so if you can’t find what you’re after send a little tweet or message on facebook and see if Marie can lay her hands on it for you.

She very kindly supplied me with a beautiful dress to review and wear Christmas day and I fell in love with on first viewing. Since kids and having a mummy tummy I’m always slightly sceptical with dresses in case they are too uncomfortable to wear, show off the wrongs lumps and bumps or prevent me from crawling around on the floor building lego. Lisette by Lindybop in dark blue managed to accomplish all of these (and allow for the up and down of bell ringing Christmas morning) without feeling uncomfortable, pinchy round the tummy or look anything less than fabulous! I added a small netted petticoat underneath to create that swishy noise when you walk and a little added volume and had a wonderful time being elegant, sophisticated and not missing a second of fun.
