Dickies - Review
We do rather love Dickies here. My dad pours through the
catalogue and I just find the children’s clothing perfect for my outdoor two.
Recently they asked if we would like to review their outdoor soft shell jacket
for my husband.
Coats and my husband are tricky things. Despite coming from
a hot part of Africa he hates being hot himself and trying to get him into a
coat or jacket can be a bigger battle than the boys. He likes them light weight
and functional. Almost impossible to find these days. However his waterproof is
on its way out and so he reluctantly agreed to give Dickies
Soft shell jacket a go.
I was impressed the moment it arrived. It’s a gorgeous
texture almost like a peach skin and yet feels very tough. Essential in this
house. We popped it on my husband and he was amazed by how light it was and the
fact that it was breathable. He wore it while chopping logs for the fire and
normally it would have been thrown off and he would be soaked in the rain but
this time he kept it on as it allowed for the movement and the heat! He now
picks it up as his jacket of choice. Not only is great for work round the car
and garden but its smart enough to wear up to London for meetings. Being light
weight too its pops in his bag and he prefers carrying that around to an
umbrella.
As to its usefulness it has a huge amount of pockets and
all in the right place too.
The specifications: £46.20 and a range of colours
Piping detail on the arms and waist areas are reflective to give a level
of visibility in low light conditions. The cuffs feature an adjustable strap

for maximum comfort. Finally the chest pocket and both size pockets are zip
fastening to ensure safe keeping of your belongings.
