Fashion or Function?

A couple of weeks ago whenever you saw me leave the house it would be with my arms full of bags, of children, of well you name it! You just never know what the day is going to bring and when you have a little one whose toilet training, trying to learn their letters, have fun, hungry, thirsty, dirty, bored…you need to prepare for every eventuality. Then as you still need your hands free to grab theirs what do you leave behind?

Now that’s where the lovely Mia Tui comes in. A fabulous selection of bags which double up between handbags, fashion bags and changing bags.  When my eldest was born the choice of changing bags where black or for variety dark blue and screamed NAPPY BAG! You couldn’t double them up as anything else, not if you wanted to pretend to be something other than a slummy mummy.  For my youngest Mia Tui however sent me the gorgeous Sofia Bag.  Sofia is a hobo bag that covers function and fashion and boy does it simplify your life and hands! Made out of soft faux leather it is waterproof inside and out (fabulous for all those spills) and while I choose mine in a steel blue they come in a range of colour. Filled with numerous pockets, zips and clips you also receive two extra bags (one clear) and one clutch bag and to make it even better the lining is contrasting so no more rooting round in the dark trying to hunt out your keys or lego pieces!
I decided to see if I could fit the bags I carry and lump around inside one bag and also see if it was still comfortable to carry.

Well inside my Sofia bag I fitted:

2 books (one a felt book and hard back)
Trousers
Jumpers
Spare pair of shoes
Kindle
Spare Nappies and pants
Socks
Chocolates
Water
Juice carton
Lego set
Pencil Case
Mini cars
Snack bar for me
Hair Brush
Wipes

And needless to say the bag wasn’t anywhere near full. I popped this on my shoulder and the straps are wide enough that they don’t dig in, nor does your arm pop out the side as it’s so bulky. The lovely people at Mia Tui also provide an extra strap so you can sling this over your body too and this allows you (a big bonus in my book) two extra hands!

Its now my bag of choice and my mum is continuously eyeing it up! Just see from the photos how fabulous it is.
