Pirate kit Review

Recently Interplay sent us one of their Craft Party kits. Craft party is a new range which offers party time crafty activities for up to 6 kids. You have in your box 6 identical activities that are easy and fun for the children. These activities in total should generate up to an hour and half of fun. And as an added bonus each child has something to take home. And of course last year they won Toy Fair 2013 Best New Toy Award - Winner of Miscellaneous category.  

We received the Pirate kit which contained the where with all so that the boys can paint their very own pirate treasure chest, make a pirate hat and eye patch then take part in fun pirate themed games to win a hoard of pirate treasure. Inside you received 6 Pirate Treasure Chests, 6 Pirate Hats, 6 Self Adhesive Skull and Crossbone Decals, 6 Pirate Eye Patches, 6 Paint Brushes, 12 Pots of Paint (4 colours), 24 Imitation Gold Doubloons and 1 Set of Instructions for Supervising Adult 

 

We had for our party two boys and three girls and they had a fabulous time play and paining. I don’t think the activities quite built up to an hour and half, more closer to an hour but I think that might be down to the kids rushing as they wanted to move on to the next activity! I was rather impressed myself with the quickness of the paint drying. All of them wanted to build up the paint on their chests without smudging or get a sludgy brown and within 5 minutes the first layers were dry!

The kids had a fabulous time playing with all their products and the games that carried on afterwards with the gold coins and pirate outfits lasted ages. I think you might need a couple more things if you wanted this as your only activity for a party but for after school this was super! Wonderful clear instructions for the adults and lovely quality products!
