Its nearly March! Wahoo!!

Do you realise its March next Saturday?  In its 8 days time its March! When did that happen? Did February just get washed away in the floods! I’m rather looking forward to March this year. It comes with the promise of Spring, Pancake Day, my brothers birthday and of course Mothering Sunday. I have something lovely to look forward to every weekend and I can start glimpsing our tropical summer (the weatherman promised!) just round the corner

It’ll of course be my first mothers day in our new home. And so I think we might be brave and risk a Braai (BBQ for South Africans) and have the whole family and our mums down (including my grandma!) Both of our mums and I are very different so yes I’m starting to plan gifts 4 weeks in advance.  Did I tell you when we moved we also moved to the deepest darkest countryside where it’s an hour to shops which don’t sell veg (seriously!) and I don’t think my mum would be too chuffed with apples & potatoes as her present. This of course results in online shopping and I’d rather try and get it all (yes I get mine too – it’s the best way unless I fancy something strange like a screwdriver) at one place. I rather like the gift sites which stock a wide range. I might just be able to say to my  husband this year “gifts for me please, from here” and actually get a nice girls gift like  grow your own wild flowers (for my meadow hill) or the barbados hammock for between the fruit trees!

Of course I'd settle for a hammock in Barbados too!

So with the promise of Daff-o-dillys and cherry blossom round the corner I’m off to leave notes about my desired wildlife garden around in the hopes someone might just take the hint!
