House plans for summer...

Beautiful no? One day readers, one day!

The sun’s shining again! Did you hear we’re in for a sizzling spring and tropical summer?! I can now start dreaming of sausages on the BBQ, splashing around in paddling pools and at long last the boys and puppy running in and out of the house without having  half the earth in Sussex coming too (honestly those wellie’s hold a lot of mud in their grips!)With the thought of this my mind turns inevitably to our house and last year, our first summer in it. Did I mention to you that our house will be a 5 Year project? Obviously of course I would love to get everything in the house completed immediately but alas the world doesn’t work that way. Perhaps I should buy that lottery ticket tonight! You never know! Highly unlikely to win I know! So instead I’ve been building up my new home page on Pinterest to get all my ideas down ready and waiting. Obviously what I deem to be important or to be completed first my husband takes one look at and gives me “that” smile. The “that’s only cosmetic darling” look but yes the roof might indeed need retiling but I do honestly really need splash pool in time for summer, hehe after all it is planning on being tropical!

An essential, yes?!

With the talk of summer one of the things we would like to do is to sliding doors to the kitchen. I fell in love with the idea after obviously finding it on Pinterest but just imagine being able to push back the bi-folds and stand at the kitchen sink looking down over the garden and the children playing! I also fell in love with the idea of for summer of an extension room like the ones on Express Bi-folding doors site. Wouldn’t it be fabulous to have an indoors/outdoors room? So I think I might just keep my fingers crossed for that lottery win (and perhaps actually buy the ticket) and start planning my summer partys!
