How do you style yours?
Compared to other countries interior design in the UK is a
popular past time which the country is proud of. We take a great deal of pride
in our homes and their individual styles and it seems only fitting that the
furniture we showcase should be just as wonderful! Currently among the most
popular styles of furniture are gorgeous mixtures of colour with vintage and
modern style working side by side set against an almost blank canvas. My
favourite furniture for this? A particularly stunning rocking chair. Having
seen them used in the nursery, kitchen, country or town I think they might be
by far my most favourite piece of design.
In 1956 after years
of development two designers Charles & Ray Eames released one of the
greatest designs of furniture in the 20th century. The Eames chair. At the height of fashion
these chairs were designed for the upper end of the market as seen in their
style and comfort. In fact if you head to New York and go to the museum of
Modern Art there is, in their permanent collection, an original Eames chair.
Needless to say nearly 60 years on they are still the height of fashion! Just
imagine curling up in front of the fire with sheepskin blanket a good book and
this rocking chair…
Of course if you don’t fancy a trip to New York to get such an iconic piece of furniture for your lounge there really is only one place to go. Cult Furniture. While you’re there go and take a look at their Pom Pom range. Just how amazing would they look in a dining room or play room?! In association with the fabulous Cult Furniture.
See! Perfect for fun! |
