Light House Clothing - Keeping me warm this winter

Despite the weather outside the dogs are still demanding walks! Being country dogs, they are not impressed in the winter and autumn if we try to deviate and only walk pavements so off to the wet, wintery woods and blowy downs we go!

I do love them and have always maintained that there is no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing! That being said an everyday waterproof does not cut it day in and day out. Light House clothing though totally understands this and offered me the chance to try for myself.

The coat I choose I just love! It’s the Abigail waterproof and available in navy & red. It is such a bright gorgeous red which quite frankly is so cheerful I just love it for winter wear! One of the things I always have to check is whether or not the coat will have me drenched in sweat after a hike but I haven’t found this at all with Light house coats. They’re waterproof & breathable.  The coat is also windproof which makes it ideal for stormy squalls as well. I also love the snug shearling fleece lining which has kept the chill out even in the minus temperatures we’ve had this past couple of weeks. No snow though here!

It has two deep front flap pockets which can be fastened with a popper and a useful zipper pocket inside which is great if you carry small valuables or bank cards with you. And a major plus for me and the mud of Sussex is that the coat is machine washable so majorly practical! The coat also has some lovely extras such as a curved hem at the back (perfect if you need a rest on a bench and don’t fancy a wet bum!)

I also love the secret little message on the zip which reminds me every day to smile when I see it! Do check them out as they have a coat or jacket for every need! – Light House Clothing
