Mothering Sundays Barista Box

If you’ve a mum like me then I can highly recommend giving your mum a gorgeous caffeine boost this Mothers Day. I personally prefer my flowers in the garden so would adore instead the chance to relish in some proper gorgeous coffee – I’m a little addicted I freely admit!

While there are subscription’s out there I think its rather nice to actually have something to give on Mothering Sunday and who doesn’t like unwrapping a present? I adored the Barista-Box little taster set they sent me as even before you unwrap there’s is that smells of fresh coffee wafting through. Who doesn’t like that smell? Better than perfume I think – especially first thing in the morning. The best bit? They’re local to me!

Based down in beautiful Brighton Barista Box they also have formed a charity partnership with The Trussell Trust  “Barista Box has formed a charity partnership with two The Trussell Trust Foodbanks. Our pledge is to donate a 1-litre carton of long-life milk, or non-dairy equivalent, for every order that we fulfil. So for every monthly coffee subscription order, every coffee gift box and any other products we might sell in the future we shall donate long-life milk to one of these foodbanks”

Their little tasting box which I indulge in this weekend includes:

  • 1 x 120 gram bag of Blend & Brew Coffee
  • 1 x 120 gram bag of Libertine Coffee
  • 1 x home barista kit of a coffee scoop, espresso measure and milk frother
  • Optional “3 cup”/1 mug cafetiere - perfect for crafting our barista coffees

Instructions on how to make barista style coffees including our signature Lattuccino (Latte meets Cappuccino), an Americano, a double espresso or a great tasting cafetiere coffee.

2 bags will make you 12 coffees, enough to try the different home-barista coffees and decide which you like best.

You can choose your grind from beans to grind at home, cafetiere grind or espresso grind. Ours box comes in at £18.97 but you can also add a cafetiere to your hamper for an extra £6. You can also purchase individual bags or a subscription to come monthly.

We started off by trying their Blend & Brew which was a medium roast and while initially we were planning on making it into a latte the smell was so rich we ended up drinking it black with morning hot croissants! Absolute bliss!

Their second pouch in the box is their Libertine blend which was also a medium roast and was fabulous to enjoy mid morning with some cake. The blend just cuts through the richness of the cake and phew just amazing! I think they might have converted me to espressos!
