One of my favourite products that we’ve been sent to review this year for Fathers day has been an awesome skateboard. What better way to gift the father in your life then fun and a perfect opportunity for bonding with their youngsters?

Skate hut are the perfect place to go for this. They have such a wide range of boards and if you aren’t tempted by the skateboards what about the street sledge boards?! As soon as our board arrived it had to be tried out, so everyone donned their safety gear and head out. We’re at the top of a hill where we live so the perfect place to try out a new board. The youngest was a little wary but fully trusting of dad so he sat in the middle while dad took him down the hill! It was a totally wonderful bonding experience, and both had so much fun mucking about on it. The teens a little too big to share the board with his dad but he had great fun learning how to skate. A 5 minute try out turned into a three hour dad and sons playtime and when they need a break for trying to balance on their legs they decided the next best thing was to sit on it on their bottoms and just freefall go down the hill. It’s a very quiet hill!

The neighbours at this point had all come out to watch and offer support and advice and it was a real incredible fun time! The skateboard stood up to all sorts of abuse having been flown into the tree when they jumped off or skidded along the pavement when they tried to flip it. Its looks even better for the odd batter – the paint work held up as did the construction and after numerous weeks of play it still looks pretty good and just as much fun. Its bright and vivid in colouring and has cruiser wheels which the boys have enjoyed.

All three have had a wonderful time playing with this and it has bought them together superbly. I’d highly recommend getting one even if you aren’t a hard core skate addict. They are so much fun for just mucking about on too and my husband says a much better way of getting to the train station in the morning!
