Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure

For anyone who has watched Ice Age without a doubt the favourite character has to be the fabulous nut mad sabre-tooth squirrel, Scrat. Well on the 18^th October he has his very own totally amazing game all to himself! Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure. We were incredibly lucky to get the chance to play this early and we really loved it!

The ancient Scratazon Temple has locked away Scrats prized nut and to get it back he has to, with your help, follow an epic quest to get four legendary Crystal Nuts which have been scattered across the land.

With spot on graphics we had to guide Scrat through a fabulous 3D adventure where fierce prehistoric creatures attack you and you must use your crazy ninja squirrel skills to get past!

So how did we find it? Well it’s a 1 player game but the boys found it no problem to take turns playing – Scrat uses a lot of skills and they really enjoyed playing this together.  I was quite surprised at how much it used the boy’s brains to play. It really tested their logic and problem solving in new ways and it was great to see them step up and find the solutions to problems in the game.  

They have played it most evenings as their treat since we downloaded the game. And wow does it stop any squabbling. I think this is the thing I personally like the most, they worked together to figure out how to get past a tricky issue or to discuss what might happen next. So despite it being a one person game its rather great for team building too!

Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure is on all the current platforms, Xbox One, PlayStation4, Switch and even the PC. Its aimed at 3yrs+ but my 9yr and 12yr old loved playing it. It currently RRPS at £34.99 and can be found at places like Amazon & Game etc.
