Look good this winter & keep germ free...
As the cold and winter really seem to have hit this week I
thought I would share with you my must have products for this time of year.
With the blast of heating and the cold damp air outside your products need to
start working over time! So why not show your skin and hair some lovely this
winter and glow throughout?
First off I think you need to start with the very basics and
that for me is the washing of your face every morning. As I said with the
change from hot, dry air indoors to the cold damp air outdoors your skin can go
in shock. It can dry and look dull pretty quick. I just adore the
Eau Thermale Avene Cold Cream Cleansing Bar. It is soap free and leaves
your skin incredibly soft, moisturised and clear! Love it!!
After that its moisturise moisturise all the way! I use the
fabulous Nivea crème for my body but for my face I follow JoannaLumley, Amanda Holden & Kate Bekingsale’s lead and use the little blue
bottle – Astrals Moisturing crème! I have sensitive skin and I quite happily
swear by this for keep my skin hydrated without clogging all year round!
I don’t tend to wear foundation in Winter. I find it too
heavy and it tends to look very dry very quickly so a quick thrown of Nivea’s
BB Cream and then I use the gorgeous
Dr Paw Paw tinted balm (which works on both skin and lips) to add a dash of
colour and rosy cheeks. Perfect and it protects from the bitter wind!
My next essentials are for the hair. Heavy styling takes
place this time of year with various parties, events and the continuous damp
weather, so I rely heavily on my straightening irons. It always worth
protecting your hair all year round if you use a hair dryer and tongs as hair
becomes brittle. A quick spritz of Xpel
Argan Hair Oil Heat Defence leaves my hair shiny and soft all thankfully
and doesn’t weigh it down. Perfect.
Of course with winter comes the dreaded coughs and sniffles if not more horrible virus’s. The
kids are topped everyday with Haliborange immune support and while I love the
Mr Men figures I instead use Emergen-C Zingy Lemon. This and having
antibacterial gel are a constant over winter and since we’ve managed (keep your
fingers crossed for this winter) to avoid these all I trust these help! There
is nothing worse than being ill in winter.
And then finally are my lovely boots. I am out quite early and late walking the dogs and its amazingly how
quickly your feet freeze. So, inside my wellies and walking boots I pop in some
lovely lambs wool insoles. They stop your feet getting wet and rubbing and keep
them nice and snuggly even in the worse of weathers!
All of these products can be bought from Chemist.co.uk and a discounted from the
RRP cost. They arrive quickly and the company have always been great with
delivery and queries I have had. So how about you? What are you must haves for
the winter?
