Still studying, still enjoying!
At the start of September NCC offered me the chance to reviewa course. I spent a good while going through their different subjects and
decided to learn all about Criminology. I decided originally to set aside an
hour or two a week to study this however as highly typical life and children
got in the way and I had to have a fair few weeks not studying. Did it cause
any problems? Well no it didn’t! NCC allow to just pick up the study where you
last finished. It’s a fabulous to be able to study around the kids and ever
changing work and life commitments. I have had no stress with the studying and
because of this I am enjoying the subject hugely. I know I won’t be penalised
or miss any of the course if I have to wait a week or even a month before I can
next log in. Its now become something I look forward to and treat myself with.
Pretty much how I look when studying only mines a coffee! |
As to the actual study side of it I am very impressed. NCC
have laid out the material clearly and concisely. It is incredibly interesting
to follow and so the information is picked up without really thinking about it
and has been written and created with this in mind. It’s also spurred me on to
read more around the subject too and I suspect my friends are starting to get a
little bored of my new facts each week! Each module has a section at the start
with the objectives of the module and they are summarised at the end. You can
also go back any time during the module and even after you’ve moved on the next
module. It’s a perfect place to study as a total beginner which is rather a
nice change after some I’ve studied! So far I’m still enjoying it, I’m loving
how it works around family life and I also love how interesting it is!
