ComeRound #Aquabeadsparty

Over the summer holidays the fabulous Come Round party group had a wonderful #AquabeadsParty While we weren’t here to take part in in they sent us a fabulous party pack to join in once we got back.

I love Aquabeads. They are a great fun and safe activity to have around the home and the children will have a ton of creative fun with them. There is no need for glue, heat or any mess really. And why not let your imagination run wild and create your own pictures!
The boys have used aqua beads round at friends before and they love the concept. The only problem I have is that they come in such girl based designs. The minute you take this away the boys couldn’t wait to get stuck in. We had a group of 8 boys around who were all having fun creating and spraying and laughing while they made up pictures. It kept a group of boys from the ages of 6-10yrs amused for nearly two hours. Of course the girls got dug straight in to and they followed the designs given in the pack and loved the whole concept.

Along with some great smaller boxes of Aquabeads and some fridge magnets (each child went home with these) we also were sent the Beginners Studio which is a perfect place to start. A huge bonus for me with this is that the storage for the little beads and all the accessories are part of the design! Wahoo!

Included are over 800 beads in 12 colours, a funky spray wand, a bead pen (like tweezers) and a a couple of design sheet templates. The beads are emptied in to the storage tray (star shaped holders) which hold the beads all separately and allow for easy choosing (and when you’ve finished they remain in there safely tucked away) We got stuck in straight away and I love the Aquabeads really help the control of the fine motor skills. The concentration was amazing and all of them loved it! Although the boys pictures tended to resemble minecraft and lego more than the girls flowers and animals. But I think that its great that you can design whatever appeals!

The 6yr olds and the 5yrs old did need a little help when it came to spraying and having experience in the past we did end up spraying the back as well as the front to stop any pieces falling off. All in all Aquabeads are a great set to have around the house for your children especially over winter and with rainy days as they do just head into designing and before they realise an hour or two has floated away!

In fact we love them so much and loved how universal they are we are investing in them for our beaver and scout packs locally to use during quizzes and rainy day activities! Perfect!!
