Back to school!
The boy have
now started school with a vengeance and so last week we dusted off the boys
outfits and lunchboxes and seeing what we need replacing. They are constantly
growing which while lovely does mean over the summer we are in need of new
shoes, new coats and uniforms. With the youngest having gone fast off school meals
last year we are in need of a new lunch box and awesomely I started a course inSeptember too – Criminology so pens and note books are needed for all three of
us. Thankfully Ocean
Credit Cards stepped in and offered me £50 to get those
ever essential back to school items.
First on the
list were lunchboxes for the boys and its amazing that if you look around for
the deals going on now you can get some amazing products at half prices. We
purchased a fabulous set for Jack which separates his lunch box and drink up nicely
and also stands out in the pile from his class mates.
Socks are as
always in dire need. I’m not too sure how they manage but I swear we have a
sock eater in the house! We are constantly in need of socks for everyone in our
household. You would think they would start to pile up somewhere but no….every
corner and every cupboard is devoid of them. So socks are on our constant list
along with the white polo shirts which seems to last half a term only. I can
only presume the pens they use at school are indelible as is the mud they roll
in. And of course the cost piles up. Plain white polo shirts are now going up
in price and three might give you a little change from ten pounds but not much.
Especially with needing 5 a week each. The costs can mount up unexpectedly.
And on to my
course. How exciting does it sound? I’ve fallen in love with already and find
it fascinating but have almost filled a notebook already so I’ve splashed out
on some helpful note cards and coloured pens which are now pinned to various
places in the house while I learn.
So for a
fabulous £50 we managed to get two lunchboxes, a weeks’ worth of polo shirts
each, pens and notebooks for me and a handy dairy to keep everything organised
and socks, lots of socks and all the filly bits, handwriting pens for the
eldest, reading ladder books for the youngest. Of course this has been thanks
to Ocean helping out and it’s been wonderful to have that weight taken off our
back especially as they ease back into term I ease into my course!
