Win one of four 4* books
One of the things I miss from working in an office is the
commute. Crazy right? But for 45 mins twice a day I could take my book out of
my bag and indulge in reading without any one disturbing me. Or demanding a
walk, help with Lego etc. Pure Bliss! Did you know a record 1.3 billion train
journeys were taken last year just in the UK? Imagine all the time to indulge
in reading?
So how do you spend your commute or travel journeys? Working
on your laptop? Plugging your iPod in or picking up your book?
Well over in Mayfair office experts Morgan Pryce asked
their staff to choose their favourite books for Spring 2016 and you have the
chance to win one of your choice!
At 36yrs old just on the verge of completing a decade of
training as a neurosurgeon, Paul Kalanithi was diagnosed with inoperable lung
cancer. When Breath Becomes Air chronicles Kalanithi’s transformation from a
medical student asking what makes a virtuous and meaningful life into a
neurosurgeon working in the core of human identity – the brain – and finally
into a patient and a new father.
Chosen by Dani, Morgan Pryce ‘Sadly Paul, the author, died shortly after finishing this book. If
anything the fact it is real life makes it such a greater read and although at
times sad it was a wonderful book and so inspiring’
With her fabulous sense of humour Marian gives us her guide
to breaking up with your hairdresser! Also included is a warning after a
particularly traumatic fling with fake tan. Included with the words of advice
for those fast approaching the big 50 she also teaches us the very best lies to
tell if you find yourself on an Artic Cruise.
Gina, Morgan Pryce ‘I
have read loads for Marian Keyes books and I love her sense of humour. It’s
light-hearted but also spot on, you have to laugh at yourself sometimes. I love
reading something upbeat when I travel
into work’
Smart and inspirational actress and fitness icon Kate
Hudson shares her thought and insights in this book on how every woman can live
a healthy, strong and beautiful life from the inside out. For Kate Hudson simplicity
and positivity is the key to living healthily. Included are ideas for eating
better, making exercise enjoyable and also clearing the mind to leave space for
positive thinking.
Anon, Morgan Pryce ‘I
love to live healthy but it’s tough when you work long hours but this book is
great. Kate is a busy lady and she gives tips you can use in a busy lifestyle’
Imagine ticking off your perfect life, great friends,
amazing apartment and incredible job only for disaster to strike. Paige finds
herself packing up her desk not shimmering up the career ladder. Her brothers
best friend Jake might be the only person who can help her put her life back
together. He also happens to be the boy she spent her teen years pining after,
and Paige is determined not repeat her past mistakes. But the more time she
spends with Jake, the more Paige realises the one thing that was missing from
her world all along. The perfect New York love story…
‘I
love Devil Wears Prada and Sex in the City, so this book was a sure win with
me. It has my favourite components New York and Love! A joy to read’ Zoe,
Morgan Pryce
