Number 4 Privet Drive...

At the end of May this year for one week only fans of the 8 amazing films of Harry Potter can finally step inside the door of Number 4 Privet Drive! The living room set of the Dursleys house is being opened for one week only (27^th May – 6^th June) to celebrate the 15^th anniversary of the totally wonderful Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone!

The muggle house whose lounge was full of ugly sofas and of course the most unattractive curtains ever where Harry Potter spent his childhood years will be displayed on the dressed set.  Hundreds of letters (THE LETTER) will be suspended as they have flown out of the chimney in that memorable scene which started Harry’s adventure. If that wasn’t enough also featured will be the equipment used to shoot those fabulous letters through the letterbox! 10,000 envelopes were used for these scenes! And for the owls who had to carry these they were even printed on extra lightweight paper! The whole tour is amazing and just full of the wonders which created such a magical world!

How incredibly exciting is this? We adore the tour and this is a huge must see for any fans of J.K Rowlings wonderful world of Witchcraft & Wizardry. Even if you’ve been on the tour before I would highly recommend revisiting. There is so much to take in let alone the extra set and also included will be the Dursleys costumes for the time ever too!

Highlights include walking through the Great Hall where so many famous scenes were shot, seeing the treasures stored in Dumbledore’s office and strolling down Diagon Alley.
