All About Party Bags

Over the half term break we have had many trips up and down the country and to the left and right. The boys get bored very easily on the trips and we do try and stop the boys being on their computers while travelling. So when we were offered the chance to review a fabulous way to keep the boys amused we jumped at the chance.

All About Party Bags have a great solution for when you need to keep children amused. They offer ready filled party bays either for parties, weddings or amongst other ideas – car trips! They suggested to us the bags would keep the boys amused for a long journey. Slightly dubious I decided to take a look. The price for the bags cover a wide range. From £1.60 up to £11.50 there seemed to be a different bag for everyone (there are over 300 to choose from. There are some search filters which will help reduce the choice down a little so don’t feel overwhelmed.

Once the choice has been made you can decide then on which style bag to choose. You can decide on either an organza bag or a patterned gift bag. Then you also have the choice to add in sweets or bubbles for a small extra charge.

The bags arrived very quickly and nicely packaged. I choose two different styles for the boys and saved them up for a 4 hour trip we had planned. I choose the Deluxe Loads to Do Wedding Busy Bag which includes a light foam noughts & crosses game, a wooden yo-yo (not such a good idea in the car!) a blow ball pipe, a set of dominoes a glow glasses kit, and a little activity book and pencils.

The other party bag style we choose was the Deluxe Knights & Monsters Wedding Busy Bag which includes 2 wooden knights, a holographic spinning top, an eyeball aqua dome, a monster sticker book and again a little activity book and pencils.

The boys thought the party bags were great and enjoyed playing with all the different pieces the only problem was it kept them amused for about an hour. They have played with the bits and pieces since and I think they make a great treat and/or party bag but I think you’d need a lot more planned to keep them amused on a car journey. The bags were also a little high priced I think for what was inside both being towards he top end of the range however I did love the fact that they were ready to go as soon as the box was opened.

I will though be heading back for the lower end of the range as they are perfect for party bag fillers!
