A massage in an oil....
I’m a huge fan of bath time. It’s my “me time”, the only
half hour I get of the day where I can shut the door on everything, the pets,
children, husband and work. I normally take in my kindle, a glass of wine and chocolate
and indulge.
This past month though it has been hectic, from freezing
outdoors putting up the cabin to in the last week suffering from this horrid
cold going around. One of the things I’ve had recently which helped is Olverum
Bath Oil. They sent me some gorgeous samples to review and even the postman
asked me what the lovely smell was coming from one of the packages.
Olverum Bath Oil is a
wonderful highly concentrated, indulgent and therapeutic bath oil which
contains a wonderful blend of 10 pure essential oils. They claim their blend
will relieve stress and help you achieve a great night’s sleep. I can definitely
attest to this having used it when I felt like death and couldn’t breathe or
think. I found it was also superb after having worked outdoors till my body was
cold and the usual Epsom salts didn’t seem to be helping. It definitely eased
the cold sore muscles I had and allowed them ready to relax and recover in time
for another day of hard work.
I’m use to either having salts in my bath or bubble bath
and wondered if the oil would mean I would slip all over the place. The first that’s
noticeable is the scent when you open it up. It really is immediately
destressing and I was already in the right place before stepping into a warm
bath. .5ml – a couple of drops is all you need in your bath to achieve this. It
cleared my sinuses pretty quickly and yet isn’t an overwhelming scent. It was
more the gentle clean scent you get in a spa. It moisturised my skin and left
my silky and smooth and unknotted when I climbed out. I normally took a pretty
warm bath for a good 45 mins and don’t find the scent wears off at all. One thing
I have loved about it is that I can pick our difference scents each time. From
rosemary to lemon and lavender there also touches of eucalyptus emerging too.
I found when googling Olverum for more that you can also
use this neat as a massage oil! Mmm heaven! It is a little expensive 125ml is
£26 but because you need so little it goes a long long relaxing way! While you
can pick this up on their website you can also purchase the oil at Harvey Nichols and www.houseoffraser.co.uk
