Have you heard of Sunshine Saturday?

Tomorrow, Saturday 9^th January is Sunshine Saturday.  Like us over 37000 of you will be heading online to book up your summer holidays and rid yourself of the winter blues! I love this article all about Sunshine Saturday! I had never known it had a particular name before. But with over a million people logging on to visit Thomson or First Choice alone it’s pretty impressive.

 From the article like 51% of you, we will indeed be booking the same holiday as we did last year. I used to think that people who booked the same holiday each year were boring and lacked the adventurous soul but since having my own children it appeals so much! I know what to expect, the kids know what to expect and have already started a countdown till we’ll be there. I know exactly how far the beaches are and which ones to hit depending on what the kids feel like. I also know what to do and where to take the kids when it rains, if there’s a heat wave and heaven forbid if there’s an accident!  It allows us to spend the cold grey months ahead getting excited about what’s coming and also what we can get up to. I’m actually rather surprised that where we’re going to book is so far down the list! We will be heading off to France but surprisingly its way down at number 6 on the list with South American and Greece ahead of it! Can you guess the number 1? It is… Spain! With the USA coming in at number 2. I have to say I really expected France to come in higher due to how accessible it is from the UK! Maybe I should start heading into the Travel Shops and start eyeing up the brochures a little more. I would love one day to do a road trip across the States I have to say!

I do love the fact that Sunshine Saturday  is helping up to focus on the Summer which now Christmas is done and completed leaves us all feeling a little empty. So how about you?
