Review: Wombat Leather Hats

Recently we were sent to review a waterproof leather hat from Wombat Leather. Each weekend come rain, gloom, hail or storms we are outside with 16 cubs or beavers. That’s not including the traipsing every day across the fields with the dog. The weather changes in Sussex pretty quick. You can get heat stroke one minute followed up by being drenched to the skin twenty minutes later. It makes going out difficult to dress for.

My husband hates being decked out in waterproofs; he’d rather have a jumper on and brave the elements but hates getting the rain or sun in his eyes. The beautiful hat from Wombat has solved all or our problems. It has a broad brim and also is waterproof. And the great thing? It folds up into his pockets and comes out looking fabulous every time.

The hat is incredibly comfortable and breathable. It manages to keep your head warm and dry in the wet and cool and shaded in the heat. Having worn it in rain and it being shoved in a pocket straight after still being wet it has kept its shape. While it doesn’t have ties to keep it on during the winds it does have holes that you can add your own in. The fit is spot on. If you like your hats to be looser though do order a size up! Perfect for keeping the rain off the back of your neck!
