The quest for white goods!

With the move to our new house came the need to buy new kitchen appliances. While the dishwasher fitted (essential) we realised that we would have to buy some new appliances in the shape of our white goods. Who knew there were so many fridge freezers on the market and how many different things they can do! I have to admit I was half tempted to go for the one I’d seen on Pinterest which produced a recipe from ingredients in the fridge but I’m still not too sure whether that was real or just a distance dream for us house wives.

I cant seem my husband agreeing to this!

So what do you go for when considering them? Chilled water, drawers in the bottom? Colour? (gosh can you get some gorgeous coloured ones!) fridge to freezer ratio? We ended up being restricted by size. And we wanted 50/50 fridge freeze space. Before you buy yours do think about how much food you buy and eat. Are you mainly freezer people or is everything you buy fresh? Also do consider buying a frost free one. Unless you can regularly put a side an hour or two solely devoted to deice your freezer it works out better! Of course as well you have to consider the cost and take it to that the running costs. While some seem cheaper they can then work out far more expensive in as short a time as 6 months.

Then it’s a case of online traders versus in store traders. Personally I’d recommend going for well-known household names who can offer both. You need to have trust it whoever is providing you with an object which you use every single day of the year!
