Bakers Day - Gluten & Wheat free!
In
September it was my Grandmas birthday. An incredibly lovely person who we all
adore she’s allergic to wheat & gluten and a couple of other things. This
makes it almost impossible to create a birthday cake for her let alone buy one.
However Bakers Day offered us the chance to review one of their letterboxgluten free ones. Having checked their ingredients we were outstanded by the
sheer lack of additives in the cakes and that because of this my grandma could
happily tuck in!
Now
currently they do only do the Gluten free on small or letterbox cakes so if you
were planning on buying for a party I would recommend getting a couple more.
However gosh what a gorgeous surprise to send to someone in the post. Not only
do they send it in this cute little tin which protects it from bangs in the
post it can also be used as a keep sake. They also send a card, balloons,
candles and another extra little gift.
I think
the whole thing is delightful! And a perfect way to let someone know on their
birthday you’re thinking of them. Because as well it fits through a standard
letterbox you can of course send it to someones work. Theres a huge range to
choose from on designs!
Now
down to the important part! The eating! It was delightful. A rare thing to be
said about gluten free but it was. Moist and with just the right amount of
icing. Despite the fact that this was my review my grandma and mum whisked it
away the next day to take on holiday!
