Autumn & Coats
With
today being the last hurrah of summer my thoughts are turning to my favourite
season.. Autumn! The crisp cool mornings, gentle warm days and long walks in
faintly smoky air followed by a relaxing hot drink in front of a warm fire.
I adore
it! Not being a huge fan of summer’s maxi dresses I can’t wait till I can throw
a scarf on and hunt out this seasons jackets online and on the high street. My
favourite item of clothing all year round is coats. You can guarantee that it’ll
be my first decision of my autumn wardrobe after all it is what everyone sees
first! And autumn is of course perfect
for them. Little jackets, from capes and aviator jackets through to parkas, trenches and macs!
I have a huge array from blazers through to
ankle length high necked for when winter really starts to dig in. Despite being
told I have enough every year you can guarantee there will always be a new one
around which will catch my eye!
So what
do you look for in a jacket? Well first be practical! We live in a rainy
country so of course a hood and a waterproof is essential. After all who really
can carry off the fluffy hair look? And while fashionable is great and an new
jacket would be lovely every week I suggest hunting down one which is
lightweight and you will serve you regardless of it’s a thunderstorm or just
chilly! One you can grab on your way out of the door! Personally I rather love these parka jackets at the moment. The fur trims add a lovely chic feminine
touch while keep you snug a perfect essential to any autumn wardrobe!
