Down to the veggie patch..
This post is an
entry for BritMums’ #KidsGrowWild Challenge:-
I dig a hole and plant a seed,
Cover it with dirt, and pull a weed.
Down comes the rain, and out comes the sun,
Up grows my plant,
Oh! What fun!

My boys
adore completely adore being outside and since we moved in to our new house 6
weeks the garden resembles a jungle somewhat. So when Money Supermarket sent us
a lovely gardening as part of their kids go wild I was over the moon.
A
gorgeous kit I would quite happily recommend it to all! So with the arrival of
the kit and the seeds my two demanded a patch of the garden as their own. Quite
happily and perhaps naively I smiled and agreed. I looked on pinterest and there’s
some gorgeous children’s garden there. I had vision of little veg and sunflower
seeds all in a row.
Now we haven’t
had the driest summer but honestly!! I dug over a bit of the lawn described by
the agents as the vegetable garden. Deweeded it and within 12 hours we had a
minor heat wave and the earth turned to dust. But we had our watering can so
the boys wanted to soldier on regardless.
As you
can the seeds are now planted and I think we’ve only dug them up twice to see
how they’re growing! Perhaps when they forgot about them for a little the seeds
might feel brave enough o sprout. In the meantime we are off down the end every
day to check up on them. Give them a little water and see what else we can do
in the garden!
Some fabulous words and pictures. Commenting for myself and on behalf of BritMums and thanking you for taking part
