Pasta Dino Fossils - #RespectthePasta

After the past two months with AskItalian we now all know the pasta can be a lot of fun! Whether you’re buying it dry or fresh or making your own but what about not eating it…?
How many of us spent our child hood making and painting pasta necklaces for our parents? My mum still has the one I made her in her jewellery box. I think I even made her a box but I suspect the pasta I industrially glued to it probably fell off!

I just love some of these examples for fun you can have with it. The boys being the boys decided to take playing with the pasta in to their own hands and became palaeontologists for the day!

Pasta Dinosaur Skeletons,

The boys chose the bones (the pasta shapes) and decided just how they would actually make up the skeleton of a Pastasaurus.

They rolled the dough our flat (you can use a dinosaur shape cookie cutter to help with younger ones imaginations if you like)

Then press the bones into the playdough…

When you carefully lift up the bones you’ll find a lovely fossil left over!

Just how much fun does this one from PreKinders.com looks!

So a very very big thank you to the lovely folk at AskItalian who have given me a new respect for pasta Gluten free and otherwise! Now tell me, what do you do with your pasta?
