Welly reviews!
We live in our wellies in our household. From meandering
around the garden before the kids wake with a cup of tea to be knee deep in mud
once they’ve woken to using them at the beach or just as original intended for
puddle jumping we live in them! Due to this we’ve normally headed down to the
garden and bought whatever they had on special offer; however we were offered our own choice of some boys wellies ranges at Joules to review so I had to jump at the chance!

Our choices. Arent they fabulous! |
I love Joules clothing especially for boys. Gone are the
sludgy dull colours that other retailers seem to want us to dress out kids in
and welcome to bright cheerful colourful patterns. Perhaps at the more luxury
end of the line but they last! We have a top from Joules bought for my eldest,
he wore it for two years and passed it on to my youngest whose worn it for 6
months and….it still looks like new (and almost impossible task in the this
house!) Would their wellies match up?!

Wellies awash!!! |
Well we took them out for the whole week. A week where we
have had rain, hail and the hottest day of the year (so far). They’ve been
through three seasons in 7 days and run through the mill with the boys quite
hard. They’ve survived being swamped by sea water and sand and then abandoned to
dry in the sun. No cracking, no fading and still as soft at the day they
arrived. I loved the brightness of the wellies, the colours and the patterns
are fabulous! Their sizing too is spot on. Neither too larger nor too small as often
is found in wellies and while we went for a size up (welly socks are thick) the
buckle helped tighten the legs to stop any slipping. I am a convert and the
boys adore them! The youngest love the sharks (to keep the seaweed a bay at the
beach) and my eldest think his are cool!
I’m a convert. The quality, thickness of rubber, make, style
and warmth in them have won me over and I suspect that come next year we’ll be
heading to Joules to choose our next pair!
