Sports Direct Christmas Presents

In our local shopping centre we have a lovely large SportsDirect. When I first moved down here I made the mistake of thinking it was the place to go when my kids were teenagers and into football or such. Then I did have to pop in earlier this year for sports stuff and I was amazed but just actually what they did sell. Britmums then contacted me a couple of months later asking if I would like to take part in #sdfiverchallenge where I could select some ideas to try out from their range of £5 gifts! Prepared for your mind to be boggled!!!

First up we got a fabulous dartboard set! The whole kit and caboodle of a grown-up dart board including darts! Proper grown up darts! This has been moved down to the husband’s den sorry office and he just loves it! It’s a great way for him to blow off steam when working and the kids are allowed to use it with supervision. I couldn’t believe how good quality the set was for a fiver! This a perfect gift for teens, adults and even older adults. My local elderly bell ringers have all come round and have asked for them to go on their shed doors! What a fun and top-quality product!

Second up is a great gift actually for my youngest and his friends. For £4.99 we picked up a great plastic cricket set. It is plastic and very light weight but for use in the garden and camping it’s a great gift. It comes in its own little bag and included everything you need for a lazy afternoon outdoors. The stumps stand up on their own – do need to bang into the grown and the plastic back can be swung with full delight and if in temper (don’t ask!) can’t do too much damage!

The last item we chose is by far my favourite and actually we weren’t too sure about the product until it arrived. Zartz is an urban throwing darts game and quite frankly is a gift for all ages! Included for the £5 cost there is one Zartz and two hand targets or shields. The starter then picks up the rubber end Zartz and throws it across to their friend, trying to hit them, the target or the shield. We’ve had this open since it arrived and it’s been played indoors and out, by children from 4 up to 41 and no less enjoyment regardless of age.
