Get your garden ready for BBQ season
A lovely guest post today just in time for the long bank holiday weekend about how to get your garden summer and bbq ready! Personally I love the idea of a pizza over and a hammock! I might just never leave!
There’s nothing more British than a good old fashioned BBQ.
It’s an unwritten national law that as soon as the temperature hots up then
anyone with a decent sized garden is obliged to offer to whack a shrimp on the
Barbie for their friends and family.
If you’re planning to host a
few get together this summer, here are a few tips, from installing Grundfos submersible pumps to creating
picture worthy pizza ovens that will ensure your garden is a
knockout. We can’t guarantee it won’t rain though.
1. Create a #PinterestGoals worthy eating
space
This year why not take a little time to actually create an
eating space a bit more than that battered garden furniture that’s seen better
days. It’s doesn’t need to cost a fortune if you take advantage of all the
advice and tips available online when it comes to upcycling. Why not remove the
middle plank of a picnic table, insert with a trough, and fill with ice for
chilled bottles at your next function? Or maybe upcycle some old deck chairs to
recline in and sunbathe? Create a little mini bar station for summer drinks
perhaps? It may take a little bit of time and effort but just think of the
Instagram likes rolling in when you upload that smug picture of you enjoying a
sunset cocktail.
2. Get yourself a pizza oven
BBQs are amazing; meat, burgers, sausages – what more could
you want? Well actually – pizza! Yes, take your hostessing skills to the next
level and build yourself a pizza oven to impress the guests at your next
summertime gathering. They’re easy to build, you cook things other than pizza
in them and when they’re not being used they make a great wood-fired fireplace.
Also, another feature great for potential Instagram posts.
3. Pump up the volume
Well, less ‘pump up the volume’ and more ‘ensure you have
Grundfos submersible pumps that are durable and highly efficient in place’ but
that’s just not as catchy, is it?
While it may not be as Instagram worthy as the other tips,
there’s no point spending time on aesthetics if vital dewatering and drainage
systems aren’t in place. The installation design provides flexibility to cover
all needs from construction sites to the fish ponds found in household gardens.
4. Build yourself a hammock
Who said that hammocks are just for the beach? Lounge
around in style at the bottom of your garden – all you need is some drop cloth,
grommets and rope and you can construct yourself a lovely backyard lounger to
doze off in the sun in.
5. Shine a light
There’s nothing Pinterest and lifestyle bloggers love more
than a good old Mason jar but they’re popular for a reason. Get yourself a few,
or similar alternatives, and a bunch of tea lights and you can create some mood
lighting as the sun begins to set for just a few pounds.
