Decorating - the fun bit!

With the foundations now having been laid in the back garden for our log cabin office we can slowly start to reclaim the study. We’re changing it in to a room for the youngest since currently the boys’ share one and we think they could probably do with a little space. Of course being a 6 year old boy he wants a lovely themed one and can’t decide between a farm theme or a superheroes theme!

I love using the idea of a neutral palette and then decoration with wall stickers which can be changed and replaced as their ideas and they grow up. I adore Tenstickers who have a fabulous range of Lego decal which of course he’d love. Mind you what little boy wouldn’t love a Lego star wars themed room? I think my husband would decorate our bedroom like it given half the chance.

I have to say I do love these wall stickers so much. They are a great way to update the rooms without having to complete redecorate each time. And little ones grow up so quickly at this age; what’s suitable for a 6 yr old is babyish to an 8 yr old! We also want to include some more of these wall stickers in the playroom too. With daddy travelling a lot with work I love the idea of having a large globe map up in the play room that they can see and mark where Daddy is at the moment and where he’ll be next. A great way to teach them their geography too! And this of course can be changed in a couple of years for the fabulous Periodic table! It might be the scientist in me but I just love it!!

Ah roll on some dry and non-windy days so we can finish putting up the cabin and I can start the fun task of decorating!! What would you choose to decorate your rooms? Why not take a look at Ten stickers pinterest board for ideas?
