Give something a little different this year...

There are plenty of gift guides around these days but what happens if the person you’re buying for already has everything on the list? After all how many socks does one man need? How many dressing gowns does a lady need? And wouldn’t it be nice just once to hand over a gift card? Well below find some of my favourite more unique ideas around!

I love this idea. Not only is the gift which turns up each month after Christmas too but each month is unique to the individual you’ve bought for. Tell them what the person is interested in, choose from fiction or fact. Each book is handpicked and beautifully wrapped (3, 6 or 12 books!) one is then delivered each month with a personal message included in the first book. And you’re bit for charity? Well they’ll donate a book for you to Book Aid International.

We received one of these to review and just loved it! A fabulous price of only £14 you get to choose a box which is far more fun than flowers! It pops through your letterbox (at least ours did) so no waiting around or having to head down to the post office to collect. We received the Super Cool Gift Box and my husband loved that it was surprise – He got Superman. You also get a fabulous Lego hero keychain, a fortune fish, marvel candy sticks and some hot chilli sweets. The boys had great fun with this and so did the bigger boys at the office with the hot chilli sweets! A great price for these presents and a way of just saying hi!

As someone who is dyslexic and highly forgetful I adore that with these Toad Diaries you can choose yellow pages. It makes my life so much easier as its scientifically proven that you remember more and more clearer when on yellow paper! The hard back copy that we choose also means it doesn’t get damaged when its at the bottom of your bag and is easy to grab and lift out. I love the modern designs and in the years of reviewing diaries this is by far the best. The price is low and the quality superb!

Whether you have a student whose about to go travelling, or parents who are about to explore the world or even grandchildren or cousins who are off on a holiday this is a superb present. Run by two sisters Travel Love is for you to travel the world without being a tourist. Choose for destinations of offer and take a look at the experiences the Trip Design has planned for you to get inspired. Or choose the experiences YOU want to have on your trip. They then put them together into an itinerary and create a guidebook specifically designed for you! Route planning, maps, contacts & points of interest are all included!

Full of unique treasures they are perfect for a day or anniversary you want to commemorate. We choose a pair of these cufflinks not for a friend wedding but actually for a friend who passed their driving test and wanted to celebrate. A fabulous idea to celebrate a beloved first car or other date!

Despite not being allowed one of the most common ingredients around it’s still possible to get some great ideas for gluten free friends and relatives who are also foodies. These great little soup platters from Qwerkity are a perfect answer.  Not only perfect for soup mugs but I use mine for lunch and snacks!
