What I'm Reading...

With October starting there are of course new books on my book shelf. So heres my top ones for this month. How about you?

First up - She Landed By Moonlight
"On the night of the 22 September 1943 Pearl Witherington, a twenty-nine-year-old British secretary and agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), was parachuted from a Halifax bomber into Occupied France"
The story of the Real Charlotte Gray! A huge bestseller at work I cant not!

Grimm Tales
Pullman's "Grimm Tales" of wicked wives, brave children and villainous kings will have you reading,
reading aloud and rereading them for many years to come.
At long last its out in paperback (I do prefer them to HB) I cannot wait to
get my hand on this and read Pullmans version of these fables!

Elana Amsterdam.
"Ninety-nine family-friendly classics–from Pancakes to Eggplant Parmesan to Chocolate Cake–that feature her gluten-free ingredient of choice, almond flour"
We have Coealic disease in the family among many allergies and if these recipes for quiche and bread are as good as they look you'll be hearing about it soon!

"May Smith is twenty-four at the outbreak of World War Two; at night, the sirens wail, and the young men of the village leave to fight. But still, ordinary life goes on"
In Autumn I love delving into Miss Read and so thought I'd try these lovely diaries!

No doubt I'llbe adding more to these as I go. Why not add your recommendations below?
