Did I tell you we moved?

The wall originally matched the curtains!! |
Did I tell you all we had finally moved? After three years
on the market at long last our house sold and we moved to the country! We’ve
bought a gorgeous house although shall we shall it will be gorgeous! It needs a
lot of work doing on and slowly we’re getting there. First to be completed was
the boys play room and the boys bedroom is slowly being done. I’ve managed to
paint our bedroom and make some lovely flowery curtains (it was brown and white
in there before!) and boy did the paint stink! We camped out in the playroom
for a week! The boys bedroom is being painted thankfully with the lovely paint
from my sponsors Nursery Paint and if you had any doubt whether to purchase
it..DO! I have managed to paint in their room and no smell! I did wonder if the
paint without all the chemicals would require a second or third cake or being
watery but I was somewhat amazed to find it wasn’t. It did go on a lot lighter
but dried to the perfect “on the tin” colour and one coat went over the horrid
dark blue covered in stains and goodness knows what else! I will write a post soon about the paint as it was fabulous! And once all that is
done we need to work on the garden. We did manage to cut down a pine blocking
out the sunlight in the lounge (we couldn’t find the saw and so fed up with
managed to take down most of it with ones of those knifes which cut through
everything!) I have lovely roses round my bedroom window but they haven’t been
looked after for ages so very gangly and untrained. Everything it seems needs a
little bit of work but hey ho this time next year it’ll be amazing! (maybe give
me 2 years)
I have lovely long list of things I want to do now that we’ve
moved so here it goes:
Oh to look even slightly glamorous in the garden! |
Maybe a lottery win too? |
1, Get chickens!
2, Make a vegetable plot (the current one resembles a
meadow)
3, Finish sewing my quilt and start ones for the boys.
4, Start baking more. With house viewing at odd times I
stopped for a while.
5, Write a book (maybe)
6, Strip down my bargain dark wood dining room set and up
cycle it!
7, Talking of cycle. Get a bike and go discover the
countryside.
8, Get a little sailing boat!
How about you? Anything you would love to do but have put
off with one excuse or another?
