Asmodee Board Game - Confident?

I have a fab board game to share with you this month. It’s aimed a little higher on the age range – 11yrs plus but oh my gosh it’s so much fun and our 10yr old had a fabulous time playing this game. It’s a real party, lift the spirits game!

Confident? Is for 2 to 6 players but can be played in groups. The aim of the game is to be the first player or team to reach 15 points by answering questions within a range of numbers. My 11 year wasn’t too sure about taking part till he realised this bit and he got really stuck into it! A question is given and everyone playing answers the question at the same time. You write down on the wipeable score boards what you think are the bottom and top numbers of the range. Then the bit I like (I sneak education in everywhere!) is to write down how big your range is – the difference between the two. Now depending on how confident you really are you can gain more points but giving a smaller range.

Once everyone has written their answers down then the boards are flipped over and shown to everyone and the card is also flipped to reveal the answer. If the answer is your range the person with the smallest range win 3 points, anyone else with a larger range which contains the right answer gains 1 point. However, if everyone gets the right answer the person with the largest range doesn’t get any points. The first player to 15 wins the game!

This game has been great to play across the internet this lockdown. The wipe down boards are fabulous but you can scribble your answer down on a sheet of a paper! So, we’ve been playing with family abroad even in South Africa and America! It’s a superb game to play whether with friends, families or colleagues and it covers all the age ranges too! The rules are so simple and it’s so quick to pick its makes the perfect game for sharing!

Confident? RRPS at £20 but can be picked up online from about £15. Inside each box is 200 questions filled with fun facts (there is an option to buy add on’s) 6 Dry Wipe pens and Answer boards and 1 Dry Wipe Scoreboard. I think what we loved was that the questions came from a huge range so our winners went from 10 yrs. old right up to 92 years old! The problem is the questions would often lead to questions between us all that the game would sometimes take longer than the 30 mins given. Mainly though as there was so much laughter and discussion. One little thing I really did love was the link to Trees for the Future – for each game bought a tree will be planted.
