Garden plans
We’ve spent every weekend since the start of the year in
the garden. We are currently trying to install an office in the garden and we
completely chose the wrong time of year to try and dig and lay foundations. The
boys however have loved it. They are out jumping in and out of the holes,
making mud pies and climbing the trees.
The muddy lower lawn... |
We are slowly reclaiming the garden after years of neglect
by the previous owners and our list for must have seems to be growing by the
day. We have a lovely gate which leads to the back garden only the postman
leaves it open so to stop children and chickens escaping we need to invest in a
gate closer from Barrier
Component to ensure it shuts automatically. We also need to reseed
an awful lot of the garden after the rain! The entire lower lawn has turned
into a mud pit; I don’t think there are any remnants of grass left.
Hopefully will look like this! |
We
uncovered from an awful lot of ivy a huge greenhouse which needs relocating and
glass replacing so that’s top on our list so we can get some summer and autumn
veggies.
The boys would love a part of the garden for them to have
an adventure trail. I have spent hours on Pinterest pinning things for this
part. We have a little hill which ends in a climbable pear tree so the boys
would love a little trail that leads up to this. I’d like to include some low ropes too. They
are so much fun I would highly recommend investing in some if you have kids.
I think we'd all like one of these! |
Of course we also need to decorate the office and make a
path way to it so they we don’t have another winter where we have to reseed the
lawn or invest in extra-long wellies!
How about you? Have you got a plan for your garden this
year? Are you planning on making it more child friendly or are you brave a new
vegetable patch?
