Beados Review

My kids adore crafting things. Whether it’s sticking bottle tops to boxes or creating sandcastles they adore it. So we were all incredibly pleased to try out Beados we were which we had been sent to review. Lots of littles beads bonded together but water not heat.

In the kit which retails at £20.00 contains everything you need to get started and you can build up your collection with add on kits at a later date. Within the kit you receive over 500 beads and 6 design templates to get started. Also included is a quick dry fan (do but batteries it doesn’t come with) and this helps you dry your designs faster.

We had some friends round and this kept both the boys and the girls occupied for a good couple of hours while they took turns using the tweezers included (great for fine motor skills) and the older children used their hands. They made lots of designs sprayed them and carried on creating their own designs.
Now the set does include stands you can place your finished designs on to display but I’m not too sure if it was just us or not but no matter how long we left to dry or how little or too much water we sprayed every time we tried to pick them they crumbled. Which is fine if yours just love the design. Eventually though they got so frustrated that they gave up and so haven’t really touched it since. Very frustrating for them. I have tried to email to find out if this is a common problem but no reply yet – I will update you when I get a response!

That said the initial response was great and they loved playing and colouring in their own designs to be filled later. We had a range of children present from 3ys through to 8yrs.
