Swiss Grills....

It was about 10 years ago when I was in Switzerland that I discovered Swiss Grills. Of course traditional to Switzerland, like fondues, they are spreading round the world fast! Back when I first discovered them you couldn’t buy a raclette or Swiss grill anywhere but Switzerland or maybe the French borders but now! Well now you can buy them from a brand you can trust – Kleeneze.

Absolutely fabulous whether you’re alone in the evening, family party or a get together party!
Just use the 6 individual grills to melt your cheese (you can get raclette cheese from supermarket but if not cheddar, mozzarella or gouda all are great!) And then why not use the top plate (steel for easier cleaning) to cook up a series of treats, from vegetables (mushrooms, potatoes, tomatoes) meat (ham or bacon or very thin slices of beef) chop up some bread in too chunks and indulge!
I love Swiss grills, I do think most things taste great though if you melt cheese on them but there’s a certain something to having one of these when it’s cold outside and the fires lit in the grate! Just remember to chill a bottle of white too (the perfect accompaniment) and the fabulous thing about them? They are by far the easiest fun food device to clean! Even hours after grilling and allowing it all to cool and harden you can just grab a cloth and wipe them clean!

As an added note I’ve just read this out to a Swiss friend who has pointed out you can also grill sandwiches on it too! If fact this post has made me put my shoes on to head out to the garage to hunt my own out of packing boxes!
