Save money for free with SES Water

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to save money on those standard bills? We’re trying to do our bit for the environment in our home and any way we can save water and energy in home is great but to then save money on top of that? Well that’s just rather perfect. But can we really?

We took the quiz with SES Water to see if we really could save water. The quiz took me about 3 minutes. There were a couple of questions I didn’t know the answer too but they estimated that we could save a couple of hundred pounds. Thats an awful lot of money.

That’s pretty good savings bearing in mind we’re fairly eco-friendly already so I wondered if it would make a difference to our household. At the end of the quiz where it tells you how much you can save it also offers you free products from your answers to help you save the water. My favourite free product? Rain water butt! However, they suggested we also try a 4 minute water timer as this would save us £218.55 off our bills every year since the other half does like a decent 10mins in the shower. We were entitled to four free products to help us save money. They range greatly in products. As I previously said the rain water butt is my favourite. Its half-filled thanks to our sudden snow storm this weekend. I’ve used it already this weekend to clean out the chickens and water some seedlings so YES! MONEY SAVED

While the other half hasn’t in a weekend reduced his showers to 4 mins exactly it has made him much more aware of how long he’s in the shower for and it has reduced! MONEY SAVED!!

Thankfully we don’t have a leaky loo but again that would have been money wasted and when I mentioned this to a friend she discovered in her house she did (she did it rather than claiming the sticker that SES offered – she chose a pressure washer – but she added food colouring to her cistern and discovered that it had leaked down) and SES have offered to come out and spend half an hour sorting out leaky toilets and taps for free. We also have chosen a shower head which we are a little sceptical about – we have a lowish pressure and the water rather trickles out but the new shower head pumps through air somehow through the water saving the water and actually it has given us more pressure! Bizarre, less water used and a more powerful effect!

So how easy is it to save water? Very – 2 simple steps! For a start fill out the quiz online and see how much you can save. Use your free items and get saving. It really is that simple! Pop over to here and see which product you would love to claim for free!
