LOLL Poncho Review
We have two kids who
quite frankly hate being away from the beach. As such we seem to spend a lot of
time in and out of the water either at the beach, rivers or pools. Fabulous I
hear you say! Well yes it is unless you’re a girl! The boys wrap a towel around
them and are changed and dry within seconds. Quite frankly unless you have as
many arms as an octopus this doesn’t work for girls! Imagine wrapping the
towels round you, trying to grip it with one hand, dry and slip into your
clothes without flashing everyone around and it’s a recipe for disaster.
When LOLL came on my radar asking for reviews for their swim
poncho I had to jump at the chance to try one out. Having been sent once before
that yes it had a hood but the sides gaped open I’m fairly critical about what
I want from a poncho! I’ve held off on reviewing as I wanted to try it out in
as many situations as possible before giving my reviews.
It’s been to the pool, the beach, the river and lido with me
and has been well and truly tested out! So the LOLL
poncho has some amazing features, the back is longer allowing you to sit
down either on a convenient rock, chair or in your car without lifting up your back. It has zipped up sides!
I love this as it’s great for getting fully dressed under or having kids pop
underneath for hugs and drying off. Love the versatility of this! And by far my
favourite little part is the waterproof pocket inside the towel! Perfect for
phone, sun cream and car keys!
I’ve clambered out the Atlantic in April and straight into
the poncho. Having easily got out (and on a crowded beach) of my swimming
costume it kept me warm while I helped the boys dress! Once I had dressed it’s
easy to unzip the sides and lay it out on the sand or chair as a towel. I am completely
in love!
I love the Lara (the owner and designer behind LOLL) has
create each poncho to fit all shapes and sizes. I’m nearly 6 foot and this
comes down to my knees, each poncho also goes up to about size 22 and fits
regardless of curves or male or female. In fact, my eldest uses this at
swimming at school to change under and warm up with!
I love the designs she has online but this is my favourite! And
quite frankly I love it. They take about a week to arrive from Australia and
cost about £35.00. Lara is also working on a kick starter campaign for some
fabulous Shark Towels - definitely worth
checking these out
here – they look so much fun! Come check them out and say hi to Lara – website - https://LOLL.com.au
