Reading Challenge 2017
I’m not a huge fan of New Years Resolutions. I’m more along
the line of if something needs changing do it now rather than waiting. However,!
However, this year I decided to set myself a challenge. I decided to have a go
at a reading challenge. I read a HUGE amount of books every year but recently have
found myself stuck in a rut heading back to the same authors time and time
again. What better way to get myself out of this then to join Modern Mrs Darcys
reading challenge.
Head over to her page here to join in and download a reading
journal to help you through. I’m starting off with the Reading for Fun list and
first two are a book you choose for its cover and the second a book with a
reputation for being un-put-downable. So first up we have a book whose cover I
love. Slightly difficult as I tend to read a lot on my Kindle sooooo it has to
be on old copy I’ve collected along the way and it’s this gorgeous version of
the Great Gatsby. I love the yellow and the Y being used as a cocktail glass.
Is it beautiful?
Next up a book with a good reputation. I’ve been disappointed
recently by some of these having been told to try Wolf Hall for example and
getting oooh as far as the third chapter before deciding life was too short! So
going on a friends recommendation I’ll be tackling Stieg Larsson – The Girl
With The Dragon Tattoo.
How about you guys? Do you have any book resolutions for this
year?
