Back to School with Debenhams

Have you been noticing the Back to School signs? It seems a little odd doesn’t it? After all we haven’t even broken up yet! But actually now is the best time to head to those stores and stock up fresh for September. You might be dreaming of beach holidays and sun and sea but take a day out and grab that winter coat. The bargains to be had now are huge and will save you money in the long run. Also now’s the opportunity to actually just head to one shop and buy up rather than having to run around town the last week of the holidays as you head to different shops discovering that they don’t have your kids shoes in the right size or they’ve run out of the relevant t-shirts in the right size.

In all fairness we seem to be in need of new school clothes every term. Instead of buying plain white polo shirts & grey shorts from the school we head out to the high street. Debenhams recently asked if we would like to review their school shoes and school uniforms and I jumped at the chance. They came very quickly and we’ve been reviewing them in the last week to see how they’ve done. We did get a couple of parents grumbling as in the photos the boys are in sparkling white tops compared to the others though! Apparently unfair to do in the last weeks of term!

We choose some gorgeous school shoes which we’ve actually decided to try on in store rather than online to ensure we have a good fit. And what a bargain price – They come with Debenhams “stay fresh” technology which means that they should still look great by half term if not the whole term. Having two boys who adore climbing trees means we really do need the flexible soles and scuff resistance! They are great value for their price. I’d much rather buy these then buy from a shoe shop which only last a couple of weeks.

We do have to buy the school jumper for its logo but we also bought a pack of two grey pleated school trousers for them both each and also purecotton polo shirts for them. The clothes were all simple and great to iron. I’m all for easy care clothes! Currently Debenhams have 20% off so why not head over not and stock up for September? We’ve been impressed by the quality of the clothes we’ve received and tested in mud, grass and trees!
