Halfords Ultimate Camping Guide

A couple of weekends ago we dusted off our gas stoves and packed up the car. The first camping trip of the year… It rained the whole time but the boys absolutely adored it. We loved camping. I’m personally not too sure theres anything better than waking up to coffee heated up on a stove and long life milk added in to fresh air! They should bottle that feeling, it would sell in droves.

We’re heading off for a little camping tour this summer across the south coast. We’ve toured before through France and back up again and it’s an amazing way to experience a country. We undertook far more activities I think they would have if we had stayed in one place for a fortnight. I actually can’t wait to get started to do it again.

We have a lovely tent trailer that we hook up but I would highly recommend popping down to your local Halfords and checking out their range of tents. It would be checking out their camping guide too if you’re buying a tent for the first time. Halfords recently sent it to me. It’s their ultimate camping guide. It’s full of places to stay, attractions to go to an essentials list and lots of tips for kids and familys. It’s a great little guide and I loved spending the morning pouring over it with coffee.

The guide covers Scotland, the Lakes, Yorkshire, Wales, Norfolk, Gloucestershire, Devon & Cornwall. The tips section is great. Broken down in sections such as entertaining the littles ones, beginners tips – I do love the practising pitching your tent tip! Really do! It might look easy and the instructions are simple to follow but after a long drive or hike the last thing you want to do is to struggle putting the tent up!

It also has a fab little section of camping recipes and tips and a little break down of the cooking equipment you need. Personally I love the checklist on the back of the book. I always leave something behind. Perhaps this year I wont! Why not download the book for free now and get ready to plan your next adventure?
