Review: Mattress Next Day - Leather Ottoman Bed

When we moved in to our house we adored the wardrobes in the main room. There is just one problem. They were the only wardrobes and 2 years on they are now full. With the layout of the house there is little room to pop up free standing wardrobes or even a chest of drawers. What to do though? We’ve sorted out the clothing between winter and summer but even still where do you then put the winter clothes while summer hits? After all with this bizarre weather we have delved in to the bags quite often to pull out a jumper to wrap up in or fling one back in disgust while we melt.

Then I was offered a review with Mattress next day. Would I like to try out and review their Prado brown ottoman bedframe. My main worry was whether it would arrive within 5 days before we went on holiday and would I have enough time to build it and get the old bed up to my mums in the time left while still manage to pack. Their customer service assured me this wouldn’t be a problem and double checked dates I could accept the delivery even finding an earlier one than suggested to fit around me. It arrived on time and their delivery men were superb, carrying the huge parcels down to the right room for me. Start to finish I built the bed mainly on my own within an hour. It would probably have been faster if I hadn’t built it with the sides upside down at first though.

It’s a lovely bed and immediately smartens up the room but the thing I love the best? The storage underneath? The mattress is easily lifted up (while the bed is still made) and the amount of room for storage is amazing. The base of it isn’t hard it’s a soft fabric but the clothes are vacuum wrapped so storing them against the floor is fine. And our space has doubled in size overnight. It’s great to easily flip the bed up (gas lifts!) and slip something in or out. Especially great when you only have 5 minutes to tidy up before guests pop round too.

As you can see it fits in any room with its design, heres my wishlist for my bedroom!

We love it. The service was excellent; I was really surprised just how good the company were I have to say. Superb a big thumbs up from us and we loved their prices too!  10 out of 10!
